Corporations openly displaying symbols of pride and queer/trans community serves as modest barometer on the social acceptance of queer & trans people, and business after business pulling back it’s pride merch/symbolism because of right-wing backlash is not good and potentially a sign of even worse to come.
It was google by the way, they thought it would be such a good file type it would replace the need for all other image files, that’s why anything they own or partner with tries to force it on us though no art programs can even work with it.
Today, one of my second graders was working on shape name recognition, and we got to this picture of a pyramid shape with a wide-ish base. When he saw it, his eyes lit up and he turned to me with a huge grin on his face, pointed at it, and said “When the teacher forgets to assign homework” before bursting out into hysterics, covering his mouth and giggling.
I don’t understand what happened except this kid CLEARLY knows about the strong comedic and memeable value of mathematical shapes and emotions that I, an old millennial, cannot comprehend
I did, however, try to recreate this moment as the meme this child must have seen in his head

I know I already have a post about this exact gif but the way he looks back at the viewer has just enamoured me I constantly think back to it when my mind goes quiet; it’s like he was caught unsuspecting while bathing nude in a life giving spring, and rather than flee he decides to play with you, In one quick little glance he instructs you to give chase through the babbling pool through the gentle curtain of falling water into a luminescent cove full of treasures untold.
